ABOUT THIS ACADEMY

The Chaplain Academy provides practical equipping and training for those called to serve as a First Responder Chaplain. Through a structured series of video sessions and supporting resources, participants will gain foundational knowledge, real-world insight, and tools to support those working in high-stress and crisis environments.

These on-demand sessions are designed to be accessible, repeatable, and relevant—allowing chaplains to engage with the material at their own pace while building skills that can be applied immediately in the field.

Participants who complete all sessions in the Chaplain Academy will receive a Certificate of Completion, acknowledging their commitment to training and preparation for chaplaincy work with first responders.

  • Yes. Thanks to a generous grant from the Douglas County Community Foundation, the First Responder Chaplain Association Online Chaplain Academy is currently offered at no charge to eligible participants.

  • Use the access password provided to you to enter the Academy. You’ll only need to enter the password once per device in most cases.

  • The Academy includes 18 sessions. Each session varies in length, and participants may complete the program at their own pace.

  • The Chaplain Academy operates on an honor system. Participants are asked to engage fully with each session and affirm completion at the end of the program.

  • Yes. Upon completion of the Chaplain Academy, participants receive a certificate of completion recognizing their training and readiness for service. This program is preparatory in nature and is not intended to serve as formal chaplain credentialing.

  • Academy materials are intended for registered participants only. Please do not share videos or resources without permission. All videos, resources and of the like are property of the First Responder Chaplain Association.

  • The Academy can be accessed on desktop, tablet, and mobile devices with an internet connection.

  • Videos are streamed online and are not available for download. Session resources may be provided as downloadable PDFs where applicable.
